Josiah Jones was born on March 2, 1792 in New Jersey (possibly Gloucester County)
He married Abigail Rowand on July 18, 1813 in Gloucester County, New Jersey

Josiah and Abigail had 6 children:  Mary Ann, James, John, Barbary, Abigail, and William (previously mentioned in Abigail Rowand's blog).

Sometime between 1826-1827 the family moved to Philadelphia, proven by the fact that their daughter Barbary was born in 1826 NJ and their daughter Abigail was born in 1827 Philadelphia.

Josiah appears in the 1830 Philadelphia census.

There is a family bible that has listings starting with Josiah, but only follows the male line through his son John.

Josiah died on October 25, 1861 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
